Congratulations to Keerti, the College's Queensland Mineral and Energy Academy (QMEA) Ambassador.
The QMEA program was developed to assist students in providing opportunities in the resources sector for career pathways in science, engineering, technology and math industries. Every year 20 students from Queensland are selected to be the QMEA ambassadors. As a QMEA ambassador Keerti's role is to learn and develop her knowledge in the industry through taking part in various activities such as meeting with executives of the resources sector in Queensland, attending workshops and events that will extend her understanding.
QMEA has also provided Keerti with many other opportunities including an internship with Coronado Curragh Mining Company.
A QMEA ambassador's role also includes promoting STEM in school and the community, and to inspire more young individuals to reach out for amazing opportunities in the minerals and energy industry.
Keerti considers herself very lucky to be a QMEA ambassador and is very much looking forward to the life-long memorable journey ahead.
