BYOx connectivity and software
While onsite at the College, Year 7-12 students are to use their BYOx laptops to access the following links on their BYOx laptop to gain access to connectivity and software tools.
Step 1 -
BYOx_Software_Client (Internal Only) (download then install Windows or Apple version)
Attention Apple laptop users: when opening the application, press and hold down Control button while installing.
Step 2 - BYOx_Client_Application (Internal Only)
Windows and Apple users: if prompted for a username and password, it is for your laptop (do not use your school username and password).
Microsoft Office 2016
All Queensland state school students from Prep–Year 12 can download multiple free copies of the Microsoft Office 2016 Suite to their personal home and mobile computer.
Students will need to use their Managed Internet Service (MIS) login, school email account and password.

Year 7-12 students need to install Microsoft Office 2016 on their BYOx laptop.
Students must uninstall this software from all of their devices once they are no longer enrolled in a Queensland state school.
Adobe Creative Cloud Suite - CC Design and Web Desktop apps
The College has purchased an annual subscription through the DET Enterprise Agreement for Adobe Creative Cloud Complete Desktop apps suite which enables the CC Design and Web Desktop apps to be installed Year 7-12 students on their BYOx laptops (not stay at home devices).
Please note that these are not cloud-based programs, and need to be installed on the hard drive of laptops. The programs are not suitable to be used on mobile devices such as tablets.
Previous versions of Adobe software must be uninstalled before attempting to install any of the programs below
Many applications are 64 bit only (Microsoft Windows and MacOS). Some applications, in particular the Video and Audio apps do not have a 32 bit Windows option whilst other apps will revert to an earlier version.
CC Design and Web Desktop Apps (version CC 2018 unless otherwise indicated).
The Adobe programs listed below are free and there is no form, payment or serialisation required before or after installation.
All Year 7-12 students may choose to install them on their BYOx laptops, and some subjects require students to install and use a number of programs.

Year 7-12 students wishing to install the following additional Adobe programs on their BYOx laptop should see Ms Isbell, eLearning HOD, in the Middle Senior Library to obtain further information re application, payment and serialisation processes.
Accessing and installing all Adobe software
Year 7-12 students can access and install all of the above Adobe software programs on their BYOx laptops while on campus:

Students should see the Student Tech Hub in the Middle Senior Library if experiencing any issues, or the HOD eLearning to escalate issues or seek assistance with Adobe software matters.
Any Adobe programs installed on BYOx laptops must be uninstalled programs once Year 7-12 students are no longer enrolled at the College.

Year 7-12 students must have a security suite on their laptops, and may consider purchasing this product under this DET arrangement.
