Congratulations to our Year 9 Food Studies students and their amazing teacher Firoza for their incredible work on developing their own pulse based recipes that have now been picked up by Australian manufacturing company Majans. Majans is the leading manufacturer in Australia for snacks that are tasty, healthy and wholesome. Well known for their ‘Bhuja Mix’ which is sold globally, they plan on collaborating with KGSC and Professor Mundree, Director, Centre of Agriculture and the Bioeconomy, Faculty of Science to commercially develop 2 of the recipes.

“Without any doubt, you, the Year 9 Food Studies Students and our broader Team are disrupting conventional norms of the role of Pulses in Western Diets. This is a very unique value-proposition and without any doubt, a first for Australia”, Professor Mundree said.
A big thank you to our special guests for joining the students for their QUT showcase.
