After an incredible 2023 season, Five of our SPL Football teams, each showcasing unparalleled commitment and resilience, have secured their spots in the Grand Finals, competing at the highest level in QLD.
We proudly announce that KGSC is the only school with teams in every one of these Grand Finals – an incredible testament to the exceptional Football Excellence Program we offer.
But
that's not all; our teams delivered stunning performances on the grandest stage of them all, resulting in KG being crowned the "Champion School." This achievement is a reflection of the dedication of our students and coaches, and a moment of immense pride for our entire school community.
Here are the Grand Final outcomes:
* Junior Girls vs. Chancellor: A thrilling 0-0 draw, with KG emerging triumphant at 6-5 in the penalty shootout.
* Junior Boys vs. Palm Beach Currumbin: A hard-fought 1-2 loss.
* Intermediate Boys vs. Palm Beach Currumbin: A resounding 2-1 victory.
* Senior Girls vs. Chancellor: A magnificent 4-1 win.
* Senior Boys vs. Palm Beach Currumbin: A thrilling 3-2 victory.
