Vacancy:
Temporary Full-time Teacher Aide
30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Kelvin Grove State College – Junior Campus
Duration: Immediate start – 12 December 2025
Mandatory: Successful applicant must hold a Paid Blue Card before commencement
Closing Date: Monday 28 July 2025, close of business
Kelvin Grove State College is a Prep to 12 College located in inner city Brisbane, leading the way in innovation and State education. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Support students with literacy, numeracy, and curriculum activities (Prep – Year 5)
Assist teachers and students during sporting events and school excursions
Maintain and manage teaching resources and classroom equipment
Keep anecdotal records to support student development and learning progress
Display empathy, inclusion and support for students with high-level needs
Ensure confidentiality, professionalism, and sensitivity when working with students and families
Perform clerical tasks such as photocopying, duplicating, and compiling teaching and exam materials
Assist with the supervision of students under teacher direction
Support teaching staff with playground and pick-up zone supervision
Contribute to student wellbeing and safety, including the delivery of First Aid (training provided and funded by the College)
