Middle and Senior School enrolments
Our Enrolment Management Plan is currently under review with the Department of Education. Decisions regarding the processing of Expressions of Interest received for 2019 will be communicated towards the end of Term 3. This applies to all applications including Excellence programs and Academic Achievers.
The submission of an Expression of Interest for enrolment does not guarantee a place at the college for in catchment students until all evidence and requested documents have been submitted and approved by the Executive Principal.
A non-refundable Processing Fee of $220 applies for all new out-of-catchment applications. This fee is payable at the time the application is submitted.
Enrolling at the College
Students can apply for enrolment at Kelvin Grove State College Middle and Senior Campus under the following categories:
Local catchment area: student’s principal residence is within the defined local catchment area
Academic Achievers excellence entry: selected based on an order of merit
Excellence entry for Music, Design and Art or Dance: selected on an instrumental audition, dance audition or a folio of works that demonstrates their artistic ability
Sporting excellence (football, tennis, golf and volleyball) entry: selected based on their sporting achievements and successful trial.
Under the excellence entry programs students must have school reports that reflect continued excellence in academia, behaviour and effort reports.
See the KGSC Enrolment Management Plan for more information.
