Junior School

Please submit an Expression of Interest with the supporting documents listed to: jsenrolments@kelvingrovesc.eq.edu.au 

Prep applications are received the year prior to entry (enrolling before August is recommended, to enable participation in our Prep Information Session).

​Year 7 2025 Enrolment Applications 

Applications are now open for Year 7 2025 entry.

Students seeking to enrol for Year 7 in 2025 must submit an Expression of Interest with all supporting documents to msenrolments@kelvingrovesc.eq.edu.au

Students may apply for enrolment in Year 7 at Kelvin Grove State College under the following categories: 

Local Catchment Area

Student's principal residence is within the defined local catchment area (Years 7-12).

Please refer to the College Enrolment Management Plan and submit an Expression of Interest with all required supporting documentation to msenrolments@kelvingrovesc.eq.edu.au

You can check your home address on the Department's catchment area map.  

Sibling applications are at the discretion of the Principal.

Excellence Programs

Both in and out of catchment enrolments can be submitted when the student is in Year 6 for Year 7 entry, via the following programs;

Academic Achievers Excellence Program

Art & Design School of Excellence

Dance Excellence

Music Excellence

Sporting Excellence (Football, Golf, Tennis & Volleyball)

To pay the $220 out of catchment application fee the College Bank Account is BSB 064157, Account 10000544. In the reference area ensure you identify your students' name and an abbreviation of the activity. i.e., Smith B, Football.

Submitting an Expression of Interest and payment of the out of catchment application does not guarantee entry into the College.

2025 Applications Years 8 – 12 

For other year levels please submit an Expression of Interest and contact the Enrolments Officer on msenrolments@kelvingrovesc.eq.edu.au. 

Non-catchment Excellence Application processing fees
A non-refundable processing fee of $220 applies for all new out-of-catchment excellence applications. This fee is payable at the time the application is submitted and is not a guarantee of acceptance. If applying for multiple programs, fee is payable only once.
The fee can be paid at the SUBShop on campus or by bank transfer to the College account:
BSB 064 157 Account 10000544.  Please ensure you identify your student's surname and first name initial in the reference area. 

Decision on enrolment

Please note that the submission of an Expression of Interest for enrolment does not guarantee a place at the College until the application has been approved by the Principal.
Where the Principal forms a preliminary view that an application will not satisfy the conditions of enrolment, applicants will be notified in writing. The applicant may respond to the Principal's preliminary view by making a submission to the Executive Principal, no later than seven days after receiving the preliminary view letter.
If no submission is received, the Principal's preliminary view will be treated as the final decision and no further notice will be provided.
If a submission is received, the Executive Principal will consider the submission and make a final decision, notice of which will be provided to the applicant as soon as is practicable.
There is no internal review of the Executive Principal's decision.

In-catchment Enrolment Applications

The Executive Principal is responsible for all decisions on enrolments and may request any additional documentation and conduct other enquiries deemed necessary to satisfy eligibility criteria.

Selective Entry Enrolment Applications

The Executive Principal is responsible for all decisions on selective entry enrolments and this decision on selection will be final.
