Junior School enrolments - Prep - Year 5

Contact our Junior School Enrolments Office on (07) 3552 7430.

Please note that applications will only be accepted in the year immediately prior to the year of entry.

EOI's for 2021 will not be accepted before January 2020.  Documents can be submitted in hard copy or emailed to: info@kelvingrovesc.eq.edu.au.

 

Middle and Senior School enrolments - Years 6-12

For 2020 entry please submit EOI and all supporting documents to msenrolments@kelvingrovesc.eq.edu.au.

 

Enrolling at the College - Year 7 2021

Students can apply for enrolment in Year 7 at Kelvin Grove State College under the following categories:

Local catchment area: student's principal residence is within the defined local catchment area (Years 7-12). Please submit EOI with required supporting documentation, preferably by end of Term 2, 2020 (i.e. 26 June 2020).

Academic Excellence via acceptance into the Academic Achievers program

 

Cultural Excellence via acceptance into the MusicArt and Design or Dance Excellence programs

 

Sporting Excellence via acceptance onto the Football, Tennis, Golf or Volleyball Excellence programs

Non-catchment Excellence Application Processing Fees

A non-refundable Processing Fee of $220 applies for all new out-of-catchment Excellence applications. This fee is payable at the time the application is submitted and is not a guarantee of acceptance. If applying for multiple programs, fee is payable only once. 

The fee can be paid at the SUBShop (on the Senior School Campus) or by bank transfer to the College account:

BSB 064 157 Account 10000544.  Please ensure you identify your student's surname and first name initial in the reference area.

Decision on enrolment

Please note that the submission of an Expression of Interest for enrolment does not guarantee a place at the College until the application has been approved by the Executive Principal. 

Where the Executive Principal forms a preliminary view that an application will not satisfy the conditions of enrolment, applicants will be notified in writing. The applicant may respond to the Executive Principal's preliminary view by making a submission to the Executive Principal, no later than seven days after receiving the preliminary view letter.

If no submission is received, the Executive Principal's preliminary view will be treated as the final decision and no further notice will be provided.

If a submission is received, the Executive Principal will consider the submission and make a final decision, notice of which will be provided to the applicant as soon as is practicable.

There is no internal review of the Executive Principal's decision.

In-catchment Enrolment Applications-The Executive Principal is responsible for all decisions on enrolments and may request any additional documentation and conduct other enquiries deemed necessary to satisfy eligibility criteria.

Selective Entry Enrolment Applications-The Executive Principal is responsible for all decisions on selective entry enrolments and this decision on selection will be final.
