Kelvin Grove State College Debate Club is a thriving competitor in the Queensland Debating Union (QDU), the Brisbane Girls' Debating Association (BGDA) and a friendly competition with local high schools, Kedron and Craigslea State High Schools.
Students from Year 7 to Year 11 currently compete for KG. In 2025, we will have Year 12 students competing and mentoring younger students. Supported by former QDU President and Australian representative debater, Cate MacColl, KG has performed well, with teams from each year level entering the 2024 finals.
Students involved with the debating program consistently demonstrate incredible levels of dedication, and truly embody the pursuit of excellence 'with all thy might'.
