As a Homestay host you contribute to the positive memories international students have of their time in Queensland. Many host families form long-lasting friendships with students and their families all over the world.
Your primary role is to provide your student with a welcoming, safe and friendly home environment that supports their personal and educational needs.
Homestay hosts are ideally located within a short, direct commute to the school and every adult in your home will need a current
Blue Card.
You will also need to provide your student with:
-
a clean, inclusive, and friendly home where the student can experience the Queensland lifestyle and practice their English conversation skills
- a private bedroom with a desk for study and storage space for the student's clothes, personal belongings, and study materials
- three nutritious meals daily and access to healthy snacks
-
assistance to access transport to and from school and for school-related activities.
