Vacancy: Temporary Full-time AO3 Assistant to the Junior School Leadership Team
36.25 hours per week plus ADO; Monday to Friday
Location: Kelvin Grove State College – Junior School Prep – Year 5
Duration: Immediate start - 27 June, 2025 (with high possibility of extension)
Mandatory: Successful applicant must hold a Paid Blue Card before commencement

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Provide confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Junior School Leadership team, including
word processing, database and spread sheet applications
• Generate daily reports on absenteeism, send SMS messages to parents/carers, advise and follow up with
teachers, and document relevant information on OneSchool
• Collect and coordinate data to determine and document reasons for absences by students chronically
absent, and provide information to teachers and school leaders where necessary.
• Manage Junior Reception including adherence with visitor sign-in protocols and blue card protocols,
encompassing all student management tasks, including sick bay and medication for students
• Provide enquiry assistance to the Junior School parent/carer group, community and external providers
• Oversee the delivery of documentation presented to the Junior School Leadership team including:
- scheduling appointments
- coordinate and organise meetings, conferences, professional development
- coordinate room bookings and catering
- record and distribute minutes
• Produce advanced desktop published documents
• Co-ordinate ordering and payment procedures.
• Use databases (eg.TrackEd) to process information and produce reports
• Maintain OneSchool student profiles and administrative databases
• Provide support with Year Level excursions, camps, celebrations and school activities
• Action contacts on OneSchool as required to ensure timely follow-up and resolution
