The KG Amateur Swimming Club operates out of KGSC pool in Terms 1 and 4. 

Access to the KG pool site is from L'Estrange Terrace or Boundary Road.  On street parking is available.

Learn-to-swim, stroke correction and squad training

Tuesday and Thursday – 3.306.00pm

Wednesday Squad Training 4.306.00pm

Fees: $13/lesson $13/squad paid in advance for the full term.

Adult squad training

High school and adult swimmers are welcome to join the small but enthusiastic morning squad.

Saturday swimming club

Your children are welcome to join our swimming club, held on Saturday Afternoons. The club has a point system in place to motivate swimmers and encourage self-improvement. Points are gained for participation, for upgrading distances and improving times. Trophies and medals are awarded at the end of the season to reward swimmers efforts. Club swimmers who lower their personal best (PB) time on five (5) consecutive occasions receive a special award.

The pool opens at 1.30pm, for races from 2.00pm. Race nominations are to be entered online by Friday evening. Please email kelvingroveswimclub@gmail.com for further information. 

Club fees: $55 per child or $150 per family of three(3) or more swimmers (includes season pool entry)

Saturday club - instructions for swimmers/non swimmers

  • Race nominations must be entered online by Friday of each week. To register please email kelvingroveswimclub@gmail.com and we will send you log-in codes and instructions.

  • Please arrive in time to allow races to commence promptly at 2.00PM.

  • Keep the ends of the pool clear for the timekeepers, judges and swimmers.

  • Sit in the stand until called by the marshal for an event. Once called, stand in the marshalling area to be ready for the next swim.

  • Observe silence for all announcements and for the start of an event.

  • Swimming caps are to be worn by all swimmers in the pool.

  • Pool area must always be left clean & tidy after club events.

Pool rules - safety information

  • Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.

  • Children must not enter the water unless instructed to by their coach.

  • Children must remain within the pool enclosure at all times.

  • Refrain from dangerous behaviour in and around the pool at all times.

  • No running or pushing.

  • Please notify your coach of any medical conditions e.g. school sores and head lice.

  • Swimming caps are to be worn by all swimmers in the pool.

  • Heavy rain, hail, thunder or lightening automatically cancels swimming.

Club championships

Club members who have recorded a time in an event on at least three occasions are welcome to compete in our Club Championships in that event.

Payment method

Payment preferred by direct deposit as per invoice. 

Fees and conditions

A term fee is paid in advance for each child attending lessons. Deductions and refunds cannot be given for missed or cancelled lessons.

Lesson/club cancellations

If lessons/or club are to be cancelled for any reason the committee will notify parents by text or email.
