KGSC Students Building Their Futures!
On Tuesday, 6 August, 15 of our Year 11 Design students had an incredible opportunity to participate in an industry connection site visit at the redevelopment of Stage One, 1 Eagle Street, Waterfront Place, Brisbane City.
This visit was part of our Pillar 3 – Community & Partnerships initiative.
The
Honourable Grace Grace shared invaluable insights with our students on how to enter paraprofessional career pathways in fields such as Construction and Project Management, Design, Civil Engineering, Business Management, and essential Trades for the future.
Our students also heard from John Holland, Australia and New Zealand’s leading end-to-end integrated infrastructure, building, rail, and multimodal transport company, about the most sought-after career opportunities in the construction industry.
Queensland is set to invest significantly in key infrastructure projects over the next 11 years, and they need talented individuals—like our KGSC students—to lead the way! Whether you're studying Design, Industrial Graphics, Certificate II in Engineering Pathways, or Furnishing Skills, your future in the construction sector looks bright.
And let’s not forget the importance of Hospitality in these major projects! Students studying the Certificate II in Hospitality will be well-prepared to join the Global Future Workforce.
We are proud to see our students connecting with industry leaders and exploring the pathways that will shape their futures.
