Today some of our Senior School Engineering and Furnishing students were at Queens Wharf participating in their first workshop of the nationally award winning Multiplex Jump Start Program. This is a paraprofessional female careers program delivered through our Construction Gateway to Industry School Program in collaboration with Construction Skills Queensland - CSQ.
The Program is a unique mentoring initiative designed to give female high-school students a holistic view of the construction industry and the diverse range of careers pathways it has to offer. The program involves a range of interactive workshops, panel discussions and site walks, which aim to enhance the students understanding of what the built environment is, and what it has to offer. This is a great initiative and the girls look forward to additional workshops throughout the year.
