Kelvin Grove State College extends heartfelt congratulations to our Minecraft Team for their outstanding performance at the FUSE Cup Finals last Sunday. The team, consisting of six talented Middle School students – Cooper, Calvin, Vilks, William, Ollie, and Eli, displayed remarkable skill and teamwork in a competitive "Capture-the-flag" Minecraft map tournament.
Facing off against seven other schools from across Southeast Queensland, our team navigated their way to the grand finals, contending against St Peter’s. Despite a strong start and a potential scoring opportunity just five minutes in, a sudden network error caused a game crash. Despite the setback, the team demonstrated resilience, rebooting the game and restarting the map. Although they fought valiantly, the match ended with a narrow 1-0 loss.
While the boys felt disappointed, they rightfully held their heads high, securing an admirable second-place finish in the tournament. Their dedication, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit have made the entire KGSC community immensely proud.
