Our Tennis students have had an amazing start to the year at this year’s Primary Schools Cup State Finals, played at the Brisbane Tennis Centre during the 2024 Brisbane International.
The inaugural girls green ball State Finals at the Brisbane International showcased our students' incredible talent. Layla, Gabrielle, Cerys, and Gabriela exhibited impeccable skills, going undefeated and triumphing against the state's finest players. Their representation of KG was not just
about winning; it was about their outstanding attitudes and conduct, reflecting the school's values admirably.
Additionally, huge congratulations to the KG orange ball tennis team, who emerged as State Champions while playing at Tennyson alongside the Brisbane International. Hayden, Aaron, Bharghav, Aryan, and Jayden displayed dominance on the court, representing the school with exceptional sportsmanship and distinction. Their achievement adds further pride to KG's outstanding tennis program, showcasing not only their skill but also their commitment to embodying the spirit of the sport.
It is always such a thrill for our students to be playing at this event. To see some of their idols and some of the top-tier players from around the world, fine-tuning their skills before the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open is an unforgettable mix of excitement and determination for the year ahead. Congratulations to all students, staff, and coaches involved in the event, what a great way to start 2024!
